This is Putnam Whipple. He's a character created by some of the hilarious goofballs on The Comedy Button ( although he's actually from Gamespy Debriefings, he now does commercials for CB ). Funniest thing I've heard in a looooong time. Kinda wish he was back as a regular.

Schoolmanji...
An insanely funny ( and crass, you've been warned ) podcast called The Comedy Button had a chat on an older episode where they talked about a sort of Animal House ( the movie ) where people went to this college with actual animals. They made it sound muuuuuch better. But I needed to draw it all the same.
I'll have the next step ready for you tomorrow.

Neil...
One of my talented writing friends ( Oli ) wrote a great short story he's going to submit for a magazine called Litro. The bit that really stuck out for me was the meeting of 4 friends at a bar. So I decided to draw from life and made it me and my 3 best and oldest friends.

Manga Studio Magic: now in 3D...
So if I had any reason to doubt Manga Studio before, it took about 5 minutes of having it installed at work that we ran upon this sweet little feature.
There are POSEABLE 3D MODELS in there!!! I actually started from a static model ( but I had the choice of a variety of nice poses ) and articulated everything up to each finger joint.
Since it's in a drawing program already, I just alpha'ed out the layer, made a new one, and sketched away.
And importing them is super easy too. Put all the model files in a zip file, then drag and drop on the stage. Yup. That easy.
Manga Studio retail for around 70 but is usually on sale for like 50.
Do it!!!

Lil' dudes...
I'm on a rampage people. RAMPAGE!!!
Meeka and my love of Guardians Of The Galaxy made me want to do another one of the coolest duo there.
Now let's see if I can do another big one before next weekend.
Which reminds me, come see me at table 2216 at the Montreal ComicCon on the weekend of 12 to 14.

Qui? Kiki.
So this was painful for me. It's by far the most time I've spend on a BG. But I'm happy with the results. I'll try to keep the cityscapes to a minimum from now on.
G'night folks.

Two fer...
It's apparently somewhat of a tradition now. A good friend, Dana M. Rose, has been commissioning me to do a father's day picture for her husband.
I'm also teaching myself to draw sexy women now. And BGs. More to come.

And then there were 3...
3 characters cleaned up using Manga Studio something something. Loooooving it. I thought I was sold on Sai. Well, no mo'. As long as this one is as fun to paint with as Sai, I'm sold ( and considering you can import PS brushes, I'm confident Sai has seen it's last days ).

One last step to Guardians...
Now to clean and colour. This one's gonna take a while though.
And seriously, if anybody hasn't read this series yet, shame on you.

The Team's Almost There...
More tweaks and 1 more character to rough in ( he is Groot ) and I think it'll be ready for some cleanup lines.

You can guard me anytime...
I started reading Guardians Of The Galaxy ( the newer series ) to get ready for the upcoming movie and was pleasantly surprised with it. It's both fun and engaging with great characters... and it's space... I always go for space stuff.

Mmmm, ladyyyy.
The only things someone on DeviantArt could say about the other version was Sorry but the face needs work.". I took that as a challenge. Here's the re-worked version.

It's been a while...
It's been a while. Been extremely busy with many fun things. This being one of them. I was asked to do a baby shower drawing for the awesome Daphne Dufour ( which I reluctantly agreed to :P ).
Now, back to work.
Now, back to work.
