Monkey Girl, meet DrawMonkey.

Helloooooo,

A wicked artist who's blog is at http://yearinmerde.blogspot.com/ has an awesome character called Monkey Girl. He had asked a while ago if anybody wanted to draw her in their own style to do it. I figured it was about time for Monkey Girl to meet DrawMonkey... seems fitting, don't you think?

Cheers,

Bastion's 7.

Here's one I did for CHEEKS' Bastion's 7 contest he had over the holidays. The theme was to draw a character of his own Bastion's 7 comic and make it our own. I threw in his logo chasing after his character for gags sake.

Enjoy,
Ren

His and Her's.

Here's a pic I did while the wife, the in-laws, and I were watching Love Actually ( yes, chick flick, but a good one... really... watch it, you'll understand ). I was actually going for more of a french style but I'm happy with what came of it.

Cheers all,
Ren

Contra final.

Hello all. Here are the finishing parts of my homage to Contra. Hope you likes it.

Happy Holidays everybody.

Contra part 1, 2, and 3 of 4... I think

Hello all,

Aaahhh, Crimas. It's a good time to relax and update your blog. Oh, and I guess hanging with the inlaws is pretty darn fun too.

An excellent artist on Deviant Art ( http://lerms.deviantart.com/ ) other arters to join in an art jam. The theme being homages or emotions of an NES cover art, I just had to jump on that.

I picked Contra.

Hopefully I'll be able to colour it before work start again in the new year.

Cheers and Happy Everything you celebrate during this time... and if you don't, just have fun, will ya?,
Ren

Back from the dead.

Hello everybody. I haven't posted in what feels like an eternity mostly because work is keeping me extremely busy... and I got sick... and I got an iPhone.

Here's one that took a while to do for the above reasons and cause it has more work put into it than any other piece I've done up to now. It's a little boy whom my wife knows through people who's nine I believe and has lost his leg to bone cancer. We were really touched by this story so one thing we did was that at our wedding, instead of having the glass clinging that everybody else in the world does ( and that the caterers didn't want us to do ), we told everybody that they'd have to donate money to a little piggy bank set at the head table. We thought that would also limit the amount of awkward kisses we'd have to do.

We were wrong.

The good side of this story is that we raised a nice bit of money for the little boy. Although it's still weird to have smooched so much with some co-workers and our boss there to see all that unfolding.

Oh yeah, we got out of his mother/aunt/I'm confused as to who it was now that his favorite hero is Super Mario... hence him with Super Mario.
